Traverse County 4-H, January 2022
The school is geared towards undergraduate students and first to second year crop scouts.
The program has multiple components and teaches basics in disease ID, insect ID, herbicide symptomology, soil science, growth stages and other production problems in wheat, barley, corn, soybeans, dry beans, canola and sunflower. The primary goal of the school is to help prepare individuals to be successful field scouts in North Dakota and Minnesota. The school will be offered in a hybrid format holding an in-person meeting at the Fargodome, while having a virtual option via Zoom. This is not an University of Minnesota event, but a learning opportunity in the area.
